Great news! I will travel to Taiwan again!

My semester in Taiwan ended in February 2013. After exams and presentations in January, I used my remaining time in Asia to travel. I visited Singapore and the Philippines. Finally I mada a roundtrip of Taiwan with my sister who visited me. I have to apologize that I didn’t continue my blog after new year’s eve. I hope I will be able to tell some more stories about my semester in Taiwan in the next months.

But first to the great news: I participated in the 6th Youth Trekkers Wanted Campaign.   For several years now this campaign is held yearly. Each year, young people from all over the world can win a free trip to Taiwan. Actually it is not totally free, instead each traveller get’s a certain amount of money, which he or she can use to pay for all travelling expenses. For what I have planned, the budget will surely be enough. For this year, the selection process is already over. But maybe you will be among the lucky winners next year 😀

For this year I found another nice opportunity to travel Taiwan. There you can win hotel stays at nice hotels (at least my first impression is that they are nice hotels). You just have to enter an itinerary for maximum 10 days in Taiwan, using specific hotels. This does not pay for your flight ticket to Taiwan… but if you want to go anyways, it is better than nothing! Unfortunately you will have to apply quickly: Application perioud ends at the 23th of August. – Good luck!

Gute Neuigkeiten! Meine nächste Reise nach Taiwan ist geplant!

Zuerst muss ich mich entschuldigen – ich habe meinen Blog etwas vernachlässigt. Im Januar standen die letzten Prüfungen und Präsentationen des Semesters in Taiwan an. Danach gönnte ich mir Ausflüge nach Singapur und auf die Philippinen. Zum Abschluss meines Semesters im Ausland besuchte mich meine Schwester in Taiwan. Gemeinsam reisten wir für zwei Wochen durchs Land. Von dieser Zeit hätte ich eigentlich noch viel zu berichten, ich hoffe ich schaffe es in den nächsten Monaten etwas aufzuholen.

Nun zu der guten Neugigkeit: Ich habe mich bei der 6th Youth Trekkers Wanted Campaign beworben und promt auch gewonnen. Jährlich können junge Leute so kostenlose Reisen nach Taiwan gewinnen! Genaugenommen ist es nicht kostenlos, statt dessen bekommen die Gewinner einen bestimmten Geldbetrag um die Reise zu finanzieren. Für meine Pläne wird das Budget sicher ausreichen und die Reise ist somit für mich kostenlos. Für dieses Jahr ist die Entscheidung schon getroffen, aber vielleicht könnt ihr in den nächsten Jahren unter den Gewinnern sein? Die Bewerbung ist wirklich nicht schwer. Man muss einfach etwas Zeit investieren um einen Reiseplan zu erstellen.

Für dieses Jahr habe ich noch eine andere Möglichkeit gefunden etwas zu gewinnen: Kostenlose Hotelübernachtung in Taiwan! Einfach auf dieser Website einen Reiseplan posten. Es muss leider etwas schnell gehen: Am 23. August ist schon Anmeldeschluss. Die Hotels sehen ganz gut aus. Es gibt auch eines am Sun Moon Lake – wirklich ein schönes Reiseziel. Der Flug wird leider nicht übernommen. Aber besser als nichts 😉  Viel Glück dabei!
